Age ratings (§ 5c (3) JMStV)
All games on this site are classified "no age restriction". They are word, number, logic, memory, sorting and dice games; none depicts violence, threat, death or frightening imagery.
The game "Märchenmietze" plays short narrated films of classic fairy tales, legends and ballads. Each film carries its own rating, shown together with its essential reasons before the film can be started. 14 of the 16 films are classified "no age restriction"; "Marienkind" is classified "age 6 and up" because of an extended scene at a burning stake; "Der Schlangenkönig von Lübbenau" is classified "age 6 and up" because of two chase scenes with a swarm of snakes.
These are self-classifications along the age steps of § 5 (1) sentence 3 JMStV. They were made against decided German rating practice for comparable fairy-tale productions rather than in the abstract. If you believe a rating is wrong, please tell us — the contact page is the fastest route and we will re-examine it.
The site is additionally labelled machine-readably (§ 5 (3) no. 2 JMStV): the files age.xml and age-de.xml in this site’s root directory carry the site's age rating and can be read by youth-protection filter software. The pages of the game "Märchenmietze" are also labelled "age 6 and up", sent as the HTTP header "X-content-age" that these files enable as a labelling channel — permanently, because a different one of the 16 films is shown each day and a filter cannot know which one is due today. Notice under § 5c (4) JMStV regarding the youth-protection programme: this labelling follows the age.xml / age-de.xml standard and is read by, among others, the officially recognised youth-protection programme JusProg (JusProg e. V., www.jugendschutzprogramm.de).

Not AI-generated: the photographs in "Reiseigel" and the reward media. Those are real photographs and works by real people, used under their respective free licences; the authors and licences are named at the reveal in the game and in the credits register.
